AI for Global Development Forum 초청 [주최:카이스트 과학기술과 글로벌발전연구센터, 12월10일 정동1928 아트센터] 

KAIST 과학기술과 글로벌발전 연구센터(KAIST G-CODEs)는 오는 2025년 12월 10일, 서울 정동 1928 아트센터에서 AI for Global Development Forum: Innovation and Inclusion (AI와 글로벌발전: 혁신과 포용)을 개최할 예정입니다. 참석이 가능하시다면 함께해 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 포럼 결과 및 보고서는 G-CODEs 웹사이트를 통해서도 공개될 예정입니다. 

최근 인공지능(AI)은 기술적 혁신을 넘어 국제개발협력의 구조, 거버넌스, 운영 방식 전반을 재구성하는 핵심 동력으로 부상하고 있습니다. 그러나 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고, AI는 개발협력 분야에서 종종 개별 사례와 단기 프로젝트 중심으로 단편적으로 추진되고 있으며, 이를 뒷받침할 제도, 거버넌스, 데이터 인프라 등 기반 시스템은 충분히 갖추어지지 못한 상황입니다. 

이에 AI for Global Development Forum은 학계, 정책 결정자, 실무자들이 한자리에 모여 이러한 구조적 간극을 진단하고, AI를 개발협력에 보다 일관적·포용적·지속가능하게 통합할 수 있는 방향을 논의하고자 합니다. 본 포럼은 KAIST G-CODEs가 추구하는 과학기술 연구–혁신 생태계–글로벌 개발정책 간의 연결을 강화하고, 책임 있는 글로벌 AI 미래를 위한 공동의 해법을 모색하는 데 목적이 있습니다.

본 포럼은 국제개발협력학회의 후원으로 진행되며, 전체 프로그램은 영어로 진행됩니다. AI 통역 서비스가 제공될 예정입니다.

Invitation to the AI for Global Development Forum (hosted by KAIST Global Center for Development and Strategy)

The KAIST Global Center for Development and Strategy (G-CODEs) was launched this year (global.kaist.ac.kr), led by its Founding Director, Professor Kyung Ryul Park. His research examines emerging digital technologies and AI, especially how they shape national development pathways and global governance systems (di-lab.kaist.ac.kr).

Within this broader research agenda, the AI for Global Development (AIGD) Forum will take place on December 10, 2025, at the Jeongdong 1928 Art Center in Seoul. We would be delighted if you could join us. For colleagues outside Korea, we wish to share this update and express our hope to engage with you in future collaborative opportunities. The forum outcomes and report will be made available on the G-CODEs website.

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping the global development landscape—not only as a technological innovation but as a catalyst for rethinking how development cooperation is structured, governed, and sustained. Yet despite its growing visibility, AI for Development often advances in fragmented ways, with promising applications and pilot initiatives moving faster than the institutional, governance, and data systems needed to support them. Against this backdrop, the AI for Development Forum 2025 seeks to convene scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to examine these persistent gaps and explore more coherent, inclusive, and sustainable pathways for integrating AI into development cooperation. Organized by KAIST’s Global Center for Development and Strategy (G-CODEs), the Forum reflects our commitment to bridging scientific research, innovation ecosystems, and global development practice, and advancing shared approaches to responsible and impactful AI futures.
